Sometimes a photo isn't enough. Sometimes paint - physical or digital - is necessary to capture the impression that a place leaves in our brains. Whether it is a ruined abbey in Yorkshire, or a seascape in Venice, the image that we carry with us is mix of the real and the emotion we feel when seeing it.
