Olga of Kyiv

Olga of Kiev was always a figure that mesmerised me. A saint, a princess, a steel fisted ruler and a doting mother, she represented for me the way a woman was able to flip the expectations had of women of her time. I always see her wrapped in the majesty and the colour attributed to her by Orthodox church that canonized her.
